Foreign vs. Domestic

Sometimes I find myself so eager to travel the world that I forget the wonders that surround me in my own (figurative) backyard. Of course it is my dream to backpack through Europe, hike the Great Wall of China and catch a glimpse of the Great Pyramids of Giza, but the United States has its fair share of sights to see as well. Journalists are travelers

At the very second that I am writing this, there are 7,287,148,722 people in the world. That is over 7 billion people with unique experiences, perspectives and goals. 7 billion different people I could interact with, 7 billion opportunities to learn something new.

If I don’t spend the rest of my life meeting as many of them as I can, I don’t think I will be living well enough. Continue reading
